  • Epicuro HBG penetrates the surface's capillaries to form an invisible (but breathable) protective barrier that repels water, graffiti and other surface contaminants, ensuring your façade remains dry, clean and protected at all times.

Because rain water can no longer soak into the masonry it also improves the surface's insulative properties and thermal resistance, resulting in less heat loss and saving energy. HBG carries a 15 year performance guarantee.

HIGHLY EFFECTIVE, & ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PROTECTIVE TREATMENT AGAINST

    • Water
    • Oils and fuels
    • Dirt, stains and fouling
    • Moss, alage & lichens
    • Graffiti paints & inks
    • Freeze-thaw damage
    • Pollution damage
    • Carbonation
  • Epicuro HBG is the leading 0.0% VOC product for protecting concrete, stone and all other porous building and construction materials. Epicuro HBG treated surfaces are guaranteed for 15 years against the harmful effects of surface water, frost, dirt, atmospheric pollution and graffiti paints and inks. Epicuro HBG limits surface water retention which combats moss and lichen infestation. It will prevent the return of efflorescence on brickwork, after removing deposits with Epicuro products. It is suitable for protecting private residences, public buildings, offices, airports, railway buildings, coastal structures, monuments, car parks, retail shops and historic buildings.

Epicuro HBG is used for protecting limestone, masonry, and other building materials such as sandstone, granite, marble, slate, render, plaster and terracotta. It is an anti-carbonation treatment. It is also effective in preventing chloride damage on concrete and other materials.

Epicuro HBG is an environmentally friendly, water-borne product (non-toxic, solvent and silicone free), unlike other surface protection products, such as solvent or water-based silanes. It has been proved ‘worker and environment’ safe by 48 Hour Acute Toxicity Testing. Other products fail this critical ‘Environment Safe’ test.

Epicuro HBG is a non-film-forming impregnation product that leaves the treated surface permeable to air and water vapour.

Epicuro HBG is a colourless surface treatment that does not change the appearance or alter the chemical composition of the treated surface. It is also a UV-resistant treatment, and does not result in surface discoloration with age. A surface treated with Epicuro HBG will keep cleaner, be easier to maintain and benefit from an increased lifespan.
    • 15 years guarantee (Approved Applicator Scheme).
    • Applicable to vertical and horizontal surfaces.
    • Used for preventing pollution dirt on buildings.
    • Used for preventing freeze-thaw deterioration.
    • Anti-carbonation, anti-graffiti protection and stain resistance for walls and other surfaces.
    • Used for preventing water penetration, salts and oily liquids.
    • Prevents efflorescence formation after cleaning.
    • Used for preventing moss & lichen reoccurrence.
    • Non film-forming treatment that allows treated surfaces to breathe.
    • Non-hazardous & non-toxic product with 0.0% VOC.
    • Water-borne product giving invisible surface protection.
    • Solvent and silicone-free. Non-flammable product.
    • 95%+ biodegradable according to OECD standards.
    • UV-resistant, does not discolour treated surface.
    • Easy to use straight from container.
    • Physical State at 20°C: Liquid.
    • Appearance : Colourless.
    • Odour: None.
    • pH: 8 ± 0.5.
    • Boiling point [°C]: 100°C.
    • Density: 1.0 Kg/ll
    • Solubility in water [vol/vol] : Fully soluble
    • Flash Point [°C] : Not applicable.
    • VOC: 0.0 g/l (0 %).
    • Ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dust-free and touch dry before applying the product. Remove all atmospheric pollution-related dirt from all surfaces to be treated before starting the treatment. Jet wash if necessary, but allow the surface to dry completely before application and confirm that the surface has sufficient absorbency (trial area suggested).
    • Apply only when the surface temperatures is in the +5°C to +30°C range. Do not apply if rain is expected within 4 hours.
    • Use direct from container, shaking well before use. Do not dilute. The treated surface should be impregnated to saturation point. Apply 1-2 coatings uniformly with a brush, roller or low-pressure spray equipment, keeping the surface saturated with the product. On vertical surfaces, apply from the bottom up.
    • Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
    • Drying time: 1-2 hours (subject to ambient temperature). Full resistance to graffiti & liquids will develop over 5-7 days following application.
  • ALWAYS KEEP CHEMICALS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND ANIMALS

    • Eye protection: If there is a real risk of splashing wear protective goggles.
    • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.
