  • WRAS APPROVED WATERPROOF COATING FOR POTABLE WATER PROJECTS

E200-PW is a WRAS Approved, two component epoxy coating for Potable Water projects. It is applied by brush, roller or air-less spray. It's a liquid applied coating suitable for waterproofing concrete, stone or steel substrates.

E200-PW is a tough, industrial grade waterproof coating system that, whilst providing excellent resistance to wear and chemicals, is attractive in appearance. It is used for waterproofing tanks, pools and containment bunds.

E200-PW is also used for waterproofing floors, vehicle ramps, loading bays, inspection pits, and production areas where aggressive chemicals are used. It is ideal for commercial and industrial flooring, vehicle maintenance bays, laboratories, showrooms, schools, plant rooms and food and beverage production areas.

    • WRAS Tested for potable water applications.
  • PREPARATION

In all cases surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from oil or other contaminants. Thorough preparation is required to ensure maximum performance. Concrete must be mechanically prepared to remove laitance, loose and friable materials.

New concrete should be at least 21-28 days old and the moisture content less than 5% before application.

    MIXING

E200-PW is supplied in pre-weighted packs consisting of Hardener and Resin. Mix full packs, do not attempt to use split packs. Open E200-PW Hardener and E200-PW Resin containers, pour the hardener into resin and mix until a uniform colour is achieved, preferably with the aid of slow electric drill stirrer.

    PRIMING

E200-PW is self priming on suitable prepared surfaces. Otherwise, priming is recommended for porous, uneven or friable surfaces. In these circumstances, use E200-PW Primer to prime the substrate before application of E200-PW Apply E200-PW primer at approximately 5 – 6 m² per kg, dependent upon texture and absorbency of the surface. Allow primer to set but leave no longer than 24 hours before applying E200-PW.

    PLACEMENT

Application is by brush, roller or airless spray, apply the E200-PW to the prepared surface at rate of 5m² per kilo. Allow E200-PW to set and then apply a second coat of E200-PW. The second coat should be applied within 24 hours of first coat.

    SURFACE FINISHES

An anti-skid finish may be achieved by sprinkling BCR Aggregate Dressing onto the first coat while still wet. When the first coat has dried the second coat is applied encapsulating the aggregate grains. Alternatively, an anti-skip coating version of E200-PW can be supplied with frictional grit already incorporated.

It is recommended that a trial panel is applied to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the finish. Anti-slip versions have significantly reduced coverage. Site trials are recommended to determine exact rates.

    POT LIFE

    Approximately 30 mins at 10° C.
    Approximately 15 mins at 20° C.
    Approximately 10 mins at 30° C.

    CURING

At 20°C open to light traffic after approximately 24 hours.

    CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean tools and mixing equipment immediately after use using Epicuro Cleaning Solvent or Xylene.
  • ALWAYS KEEP CHEMICALS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND ANIMALS
    • Eye protection: Wear protective goggles.
    • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.
    • Respiratory protection: Wear a mask and take care not to form dust clouds with the product. no special respiratory protection equipment is needed.
    • Hand protection: Wear PVC or rubber gloves.
    • Skin protection: Wear full overalls.
  • Life expectancy 10 to 15 years for potable water applications, depending on amount of surface abrasion. Life expectancy for chemical containment projects depends on type and concentration of product contained. Consult Epicuro Ltd for advice on specific chemical containment requirements.
