  • HBG-HD ensures water and other common contaminants such as oil, grime, grease, bird droppings, chewing gum and algae cannot penetrate the pavement's surface and sit on top of a protective barrier. This means that even basic cleaning operations will remove otherwise tough or problematic stains saving time, money and reducing disturbance.

    Epicuro HBG-HD is quick and easy to apply and provides an extremely hard-wearing protective solution that is ideal for pavements that experience heavy footfall and contamination.

  • Epicuro HBG-HD is a unique 0% VOC, ‘ready-to-use’, high performance protective treatment for concrete, artificial stone and natural stone pavement.

    Epicuro HBG-HD is used for preventing water penetration and contamination by fuel, oil, grease and graffiti paints and inks.

    It is also used for stopping chewing gum sticking to pavement, making pavement easier to clean and maintain. It also protects grout and mortar.

    Epicuro HBG-HD is used in preventing surface deterioration and discolouration by contaminates, and also preventing moss and lichen that cause slippery wet surfaces.

    It does not alter the appearance of the surface. Whilst waterproofing pavement surfaces, it does not trap water in the surface.

    Epicuro HBG-HD does not chemically alter or combine with the substrate. It achieves excellent adhesion, and does not break down by exposure to sunlight or inclement weather. At the same time, it is not intended as surface protection in permanently wet or submerged conditions.

    For general pre-cleaning use Epicuro cleaning products. For difficult to remove stains (eg oil, diesel fuel) on granite and other surfaces, we recommend Epicuro CL05.

    • Clean surface and ensure it is dust free (consult Epicuro Ltd for advice where required). Use Epicuro cleaning products, we recommend Epicuro CL05 for difficult to remove stains (e.g. oil, diesel fuel) on granite and other materials.
    • Allow the surface to dry completely before application and confirm that the surface has sufficient absorbency (trial area suggested).
    • Apply only when the surface temperatures is in the +5°C to +30°C range. Do not apply if rain is expected within 4 hours. For fresh concrete, only apply after 1-2 days of curing.
    • Use direct from container, shaking well before use. Apply 1-3 coatings uniformly with a brush, roller or low-pressure spray equipment, keeping the pavement saturated with the product for 10 mins in between coats.
    • Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
    • Full repellence develops over 6-7 days following application. Ground surface performance is 5 to10 years depending on level of foot traffic.
  • ALWAYS KEEP CHEMICALS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND ANIMALS

    • Eye protection: If there is a real risk of splashing wear protective goggles.
    • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.
    • Respiratory protection: Under normal conditions of use where adequate ventilation is available, no special respiratory protection equipment is needed.
    • Hand protection: Wear gloves.
    • Skin protection: No special protective clothing or skin protection is required under normal conditions of use.
